ConnectedYou’s plans are prepaid. The Help Centre says there are no automatic extra charges after the selected product. Once data is used, you can purchase another eSIM or use a top-up where the My eSIMs account offers one.

United States eSIM prices

The US collection showed five fixed-data options, all valid for 30 days after activation.

ConnectedYou USA prices, checked 21 July 2026
DataPricePrice per GBPractical fit
1GB$4.50$4.50Maps and light messaging
3GB$7.00$2.33Short trip with daily browsing
5GB$10.00$2.00Typical one-week holiday
10GB$18.00$1.80Regular social use and some calls
20GB$33.00$1.65Heavy use or hotspot sharing

The larger packs offer better unit value. That does not make 20GB the cheapest choice for a light user. ConnectedYou does not refund a proportional amount for data left at the end of the validity period.

North America and Americas regional plans are also advertised from the US page. The North America option starts at $4.75 and covers Canada, the United States and Mexico. The Americas option starts at $7 and covers 18 listed destinations. Check the data allowance attached to the starting price before comparing it with a US-only plan.

Europe pricing

ConnectedYou’s Europe regional product covers 37 countries. Current sample country and regional rates show that Europe can be one of the service’s lower-cost areas.

A country package is normally the first choice for a trip entirely within that country. A regional plan becomes more useful when the itinerary crosses borders. Do not assume “Europe” includes every European territory. Read the product list, especially for the Channel Islands, Balkans, Turkey and non-EU countries.

Asia pricing examples

ConnectedYou offers individual country plans and an Asia regional eSIM covering 18 destinations.

Thailand

Thailand prices, checked 21 July 2026
DataChecked pricePrice per GB
1GB$4.50$4.50
3GB$8.00$2.67
5GB$12.00$2.40
10GB$22.00$2.20
20GB$40.00$2.00

Japan

The checked Japan options included 10GB for $23 and 20GB for $43. Compare the live smaller packages before buying because search snippets and cached pages can age quickly.

For a Japan-only holiday, use the local plan unless the traveller also visits another country included in Asia coverage. Regional convenience is useful, but paying for countries you will not enter does not improve connectivity.

Middle East and UAE costs

The United Arab Emirates was more expensive than many US and European examples.

UAE prices, checked 21 July 2026
UAE dataChecked pricePrice per GB
1GB$8.00$8.00
3GB$20.00$6.67
5GB$32.00$6.40
10GB$62.00$6.20
20GB$122.00$6.10

The Middle East regional 20GB package was $88 and covered 12 countries. A regional plan could cost less than the UAE-only 20GB package while also covering a wider route. However, confirm that the same allowance, network access and exact destinations fit the trip.

Data-only service does not remove local rules affecting internet calling apps. Travellers to the UAE should check current local restrictions on VoIP services rather than assume every calling app will function normally.

Global eSIM pricing

Illustration of a world map with glowing connection points representing global eSIM coverage
Global packages cover multi-continent routes — they cost more per gigabyte than country plans.

ConnectedYou’s Global 1GB plan cost $10 and listed 133 countries. It supports hotspot and advertises 5G where available, with 4G elsewhere.

The global plan is easy to understand, but 1GB across a long journey is a small allowance. Its main value is continuity across regions, not the lowest price per GB. A traveller visiting only the United States would pay $4.50 for a local 1GB plan instead of $10 for Global 1GB at the checked prices.

How much data do you need?

Data use varies widely, but this planning table gives a safer starting point.

Suggested data allowance by activity
Activity patternSuggested allowance
Maps, messaging and ride-hailing for 3-5 days1GB-3GB
Browsing and social media for one week3GB-5GB
Daily video calls and frequent social video10GB
Remote work or shared hotspot10GB-20GB

Reduce use by downloading maps, music and streaming content before departure. Disable app updates, photo backup and autoplay over mobile data. On iPhone, turn on Low Data Mode. On Android, use Data Saver and set warnings that match the package.

Are taxes or hidden fees added?

Product pages show tax included on inspected items. The Help Centre says customers are charged only for the selected product and no automatic extra charges are added later. ConnectedYou supports major credit and debit cards plus PayPal.

The terms state that the store’s billing currency is USD. Prices shown in other currencies are for guidance and rely on conversion services. Your bank or card provider may add a foreign transaction or currency conversion fee. That charge comes from the payment provider, not necessarily ConnectedYou.

Is there a ConnectedYou subscription?

The standard travel plans inspected are prepaid packages, not an automatically renewing monthly subscription. You buy more data when needed. This can be simpler for occasional travellers because there is no plan to remember to cancel.

Still review the checkout before paying. Product and service terms can change, and ConnectedYou reserves the right to modify prices.

How top-ups affect cost

Illustration of a smartphone with a circular data gauge being refilled with extra data
Top-ups extend an existing destination plan — compare the per-GB cost against buying a fresh eSIM.

Top-ups can save the inconvenience of installing a new profile, but they are not automatically cheaper than a fresh eSIM. Compare both prices in My eSIMs and the public store.

ConnectedYou says top-ups are limited to the original destination. A France profile cannot receive an Australia top-up. If the previous data is completely exhausted, a new top-up may take up to ten minutes to work. Toggling aeroplane mode can prompt a fresh connection.

The account sends usage notifications at 50% and 80%. Treat the 80% email as the point to compare top-up prices, not the moment to wait until all data disappears during travel.

Validity rules that affect value

The data package is normally valid for 30 days once it first connects in the destination. It must be activated within 180 days of purchase under the terms. Buying far ahead can therefore turn a cheap deal into wasted money.

Conflicting eSIM-profile wording

Product pages say one year after last use; legal terms and the Help Centre say six months from purchase, top-up or last package expiry. Use six months for planning and confirm the account status with support.

Can a coupon reduce the price?

Yes. The code ESIMBROS10 gives 10% off and was verified on 22 July 2026. Enter it in the discount field at checkout and confirm the reduced total before paying. The old BFCM25 code is expired.

Visit our ConnectedYou coupon page for the latest status. It owns voucher and promo-code updates so this pricing page can remain focused on plan value.

Best-value plan by traveller type

Weekend traveller

Start with 1GB. Move to 3GB if you use social feeds, upload photos or cannot depend on hotel Wi-Fi.

One-week holidaymaker

The 3GB or 5GB packages often balance price and comfort. The checked US 5GB plan cost $10.

Remote worker

Consider 10GB or 20GB and confirm hotspot support. Use trusted Wi-Fi for large meetings and backups when possible.

Multi-country visitor

Compare the regional product against the sum of separate country plans. Also count the time and risk of installing multiple profiles.

Long, multi-region traveller

Global can simplify arrival, but a 1GB package is light. Compare global top-ups and regional combinations before deciding.

ConnectedYou pricing verdict

ConnectedYou offers attractive fixed-data prices in several destinations. The United States ladder is especially clear, with 5GB at $10 and 10GB at $18 when checked. Europe also has low-cost entry plans. The UAE is much more expensive, showing why one overall “cheap eSIM” label would be misleading.

The best buying rule is simple: compare local, regional and global options for the actual route, then choose the smallest realistic allowance. A lower price per GB is not a saving if half the data expires unused. Read the full ConnectedYou eSIM review for the product verdict beyond price.
